  Buffing Pads
3M offers a wide variety of auto body buffing pads and polishing pads in wool or foam construction.
SUPERBUFF buffing pads signifies a double-sided pad with a built-in lightweight backing plate system and requires the use of a 3M 05710 Superbuff Buffing Pad Adaptor that attaches to the 5/8" shaft on rotary buffers. SUPERBUFF buffing pads offer a quick change feature that allows the user to flip the pad over to a clean buffing surface while the "used" side will air dry the compound and allow "spurring" of the dry, powdery residue. SUPERBUFF buffing pads also allows an easy transition to a single-sided foam glazing pad by using a 3M 05718 Hookit Back-up Pad that screws onto the 05710 Adaptor.
While not necessary to wash Superbuff buffing pads, they can be washed in cool-warm water and air-dried.
Hookit™ and Perfect-It™ auto body buffing pads and polishing pads in wool and foam construction offer single-sided convenience with a quick-change hook 'n loop attachment feature. You can swtich from compounding to glazing in one easy step. Use single-sided 3M Hookit and Perfect-it pads with a 05717 3M Hookit Backup pad.
