3M Perfect-It™ Ultrafine(formerly Ultrafina)™ SE Paint Finishing System
3M™ Perfect-It™ Ultrafine Machine Polish and foam pads help eliminate swirl marks on painted auto body surfaces, even on difficult dark colored cars. Use foam pad (PN05733 or 05751) as a paint finishing step after swirl mark remover. Wipe haze with Detail Cloth.
Directions for use:
Wet-sand, if necessary, followed by the compounding step, then use 3M 06064 Swirl Mark Remover with a black foam pad such as 3M 05735 followed by 3M 06068 Perfect-It™ Ultrafine Machine Polish SE(swirl eliminator) on a 3M™ Perfect-It™ Ultrafine™ 8" Foam Polishing Pad(blue), 05733. Use this pad as a paint finishing step AFTER swirl mark remover. Wipe haze with a 3M Detail Cloth. The inset design of the pad provides for easy centering during attachment and edge protection during use.
If buffing large areas an optional final step would be to use a 3M DA Foam Pad 05739(HOOKIT II) on a DA Sander with a 3M 05251 HOOKIT II Disc Pad or 3M Foam Pad 05729(HOOKIT) on a DA sander with a 3M 05776 HOOKIT disc pad to apply 3M 06066 Final Glaze, a non-silicone wax that provides a durable, high gloss finish on freshly painted or cured auto body panels.
